Implementation of Health Certificate Model for Fish and Fishery Products Exported to Indonesia

Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency (FQIA), Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia (MMAF) will implement the requirement of a Health Certificate for Fish and Fishery Products Exported to Indonesia by a competent authority in the country of origin;

The requirement will come to effect on 1 February 2021 (as per date of certificate issuance). Please kindly find the health certificate format here (link).

 

The Health Certificate for Fish and Fishery Products is required to ensure the safety of fishery products imported into Indonesia to be safe for human consumption and not endanger the sustainability of fish resources and the environment.

 

This regulation is stipulated following Indonesia’s SPS Notification to the WTO secretariate that has been circulated by WTO code (primarily G/SPS/N/IDN125 on 28th November 2019, G/SPS/N/IDN125/Corr.1 on 13th December 2019), entitled Republic of Indonesia Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Regulation Number 11/PERMEN-KP/2019 concerning Entry of Carrier and/or Fishery Product.
